EXPLORE THE SCIENCE BEHIND OUR PRODUCT AND PROCESS.

CRAFTED WITH OVER A DECADE OF RESEARCH, FIELD TRIALS, AND BACKED BY THE ANCIENT WISDOM OF PLANT INTELLIGENCE.

Step 1: WE GROW WEEDS…and flowers.

  • We farm a well-studied suite of medicinal herbs in carefully built soil (over three years of layering manure, compost, and goodness), backed with extensive soil science education, training, and field-work. Some might call these plants, weeds. We call them gold.

  • These plants have been researched and documented to uptake critical minerals and nutrients from the soil - into their roots AND above-ground plant material (we call these aerials).

Step 2: WE MAKE TEA OUT OF WEEDS.

We harvest, steep, and ferment a proprietary blend of these beyond organic, nutrient dense, plants into an herbal drench crafted for garden, lawn, and tree foliar applications — using only dechlorinated water as our solute. It’s like medicinal tea - for your yard.

Step 3: WE DRENCH YOUR LANDSCAPE WITH OUR HERBAL, MINERAL TEA.

The outer layer of plant leaves and stems, called the epidermis (like human skin) contain openings called, stomata.

As our mineral rich drench coats plant material, the stomata intake the essential micro and macro nutrients for healthy, robust plant growth.

Plants receive exactly what they need, in the amount they need it, because this is plant intelligence at its most pure and potent. The result is…green lawns, blushing ornamentals, and luscious vegetables.

The impacts and benefits don’t stop there. The drench of minerals facilitate extra carbon-based root exudates (secretions from roots) and these exudates FEED THE SOIL FOOD WEB.

This process creates better water-holding capacity (DROUGHT RESILIENT LANDSAPES) and wildly biodiverse soil microbiology WITHOUT toxic run-off, carcinogens, pollinator poison, or dangerous chemicals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you test and analyze your herbal amendments in a lab ?

We sure do!

Our founder comes from a soil science background and understands, first-hand, the importance of laboratory analysis.

Each batch from our curated line of herbal drenches is tested for nutrient levels in one of the most reputable labs in the country, Logan Labs.

Every service customer receives a lab report of the drenches used on their landscape, monthly.

Do you really farm weeds and flowers?

Yep!

The heart of Biological Botanicals pumps with the knowledge and research ascertained from over a decade of growing and studying medicinal plants - many of which are considered “weeds” by some folks.

Combining our knowledge of regenerative agriculture, soil health, and medicinal plants - we literally created a bespoke soil profile, over the course of 3 years, to deliver the most nutrient-dense plant material for our herbal drench.

What is the big deal about PFAS?

PFAS, or, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, refers to a family of over 10,000 manufactured chemicals.

PFAS are made of one of strongest elemental bonds, the carbon-fluorine bond. PFAS compounds are almost impossible to destroy. They remain and accumulate in the environment (forever) in humans, and in living organisms and are linked to a suite of serious, chronic, and deadly disorders.

Most lawn and garden fertilizer, herbicides, and pesticides - contain PFAS. And PFAS? Poisons the planet.

What do you mean by “Beyond Organic” practices?

We are obsessed with building a healthier plant!

Our founder, with an extensive background in ecology and natural resources, was often frustrated that when her son was a baby — he couldn’t crawl on the turf at the park, sometimes he couldn’t splash in ponds due to blue-green algae caused by excessive nitrogen (fertilizer).

She knew - there has to be a better way to grow healthy landscapes.

Reinforced with a background in the regulatory requirements for organic farm management, Biological Botanicals takes USDA OMRI requirements, combines them with a keen understanding of the soil/plant interface - and goes BEYOND what organic certification requires — to ensure that our produce and process, throughout its lifecycle - is healing and not harming, the planet.
